Have had some nasty storms the last few days. First pics are from a storm on June 9th - we were in a tornado warning for about 45 minutes. No tornado but lots of hail!

This was taken June 10th between 2 and 3 pm. Tornado warnings again - not as much hail. Tornadoes reported 4 miles east of here!

Chase spent the night at a friends this weekend - this 1 is the smaller of the 2 bull snakes they caught. YIPES!! No snakes for me!

Chase was in his first school play this year. He was "a child". It was called "Rats! Tale of the Pied Piper". It was very cute.

Chase had field day at school on May 8th. It was in the morning this year, so it was not as hot as in years past. However, it was windy! I took lots of pictures!! Here are some of my faves.

Chase is going to play baseball this summer so I took him to the batting cages today to he could get some "swings" in before practice starts. If he were playing in a game - he would have knocked a couple out of the park! Can't wait for his first game!!

After that, we went to the Admin. Building for the School District. Chase's artwork was selected again this year for the Elementary School Spring Art Show. This year his piece was Weaving. He did a great job!

We took Chase fishing today. He/we had so much fun! (Not sure while the dates are different - this really was all today!) The first picture is at Lake Loveland (of course, in Loveland). The other 2 are at Simpson Ponds also in Loveland. He was about a quarter way around the lake from us. So when he caught his first of 3 fish I had to run over there and show him how to get it off the hook and, of course, snap a picture! Doug was headed that way when he got a bite on his line so I went instead. Wouldn't ya know it, I got a bite while I was helping Chase and Doug caught my fish! The last picture is when we were getting ready to leave, Chase was packing all his gear back. Looking forward to fishing many more times this summer as well as camping!

We have decided that Chase is now old enough to mow the lawn. With some supervision from Dad, here he is taking on the task for the first time. This will now be one of his regular chores this summer!

I'm so glad Chase still believes in the Easter Bunny! He had asked us on Saturday if we thought he was to old for the Easter Bunny to come. We told him that as long as he believes, the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus will still bring him things. He was satisfied with that! He was so excited when he got up on Sunday and saw that the Easter Bunny came! He "tried" to wake me up at 7:15!! There were plastic eggs hidden throughout the house, of course filled with money and candy. His Easter Basket was "hidden" and he just couldn't wait to dig into it! I just love holidays - the look on Chase's face is just priceless...

Doug and Chase had a great time coloring Easter Eggs together on Saturday. They enjoyed them even more later that day when they ate them!!

So today we went to the Wildlife Experience in Denver. It was so much fun! We visited Discovery Den (this exhibit teaches kids about erosion, snowpack and water conservation). We also dicovered bats, a napping bear and other wildlife in the Wild Colorado Exhibit. They had a blast "exploring" the great outdoors, crawling into tree trunks and playing in a "river". But they had the most fun in the "Grossology" exhibit. The "smelled" fox urine, "fed ticks", learned about tapeworms and much more!! We had such a great time!

This is the boys learning about the digestive system of a cow. The cow starts out by "eating" grass, burps, then goes through a series of digestive steps. At the end, it VERY LOUDLY passes gas! Gross!!

The tapeworm exhibit. The boys learned what a tapeworm is, where it "lives" and how it is "born". This was disgusting! Did you know tapeworms can grow up to 60 feet long - yes, I said 60 feet!

Our last venture was the IMAX Theater movie about Elephants in Africa. Here, they are waiting for the doors to open. It was very interesting. We had a FANTASTIC day!

3rd day of Spring Break was fun. Chase was so exhausted from yesterdays activities, he slept until almost 10 today! I took him to a cooking class today. He was there from 1-3:30. They made Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas and Lasagna. He says he doesn't like cooking - it's to much work!! Go figure....

Chase's 2nd day of Spring Break was full of activities. 1st he went mini-golfing at the FunPlex. After golfing, he stuck around and went swimming for a couple of hours. Then it was off to bowling until 5:45. Needless to say, he was exhausted!!

Chase had Americana Night at school - they actually sang patriotic songs about America. They held up those "cards" to form the American Flag at the end.

Took Chase and a friend to see "Monsters vs Aliens" 3D yesterday since they didn't have school because of snow! They had a great time - very funny movie!

As of 5pm on Thursday we had 11 inches of snow. By 6 is was up to an even Foot! Waiting to see what happens tomorrow!

It was a beautiful day today and Chase didn't have school. He wanted to show off his rollerblading skills. WOW!! I got a kick out of watching him - he is REALLY good!!

We went to Rapid City, South Dakota over Labor Day Weekend 2008. These are some of the photos from our "1st real" family vacation. A few of the places we went to were Mt. Rushmore, Bear Country, Reptile World and a go-cart track. We also went to Crazy Horse Memorial and Deadwood (not pictuerd). It was loads of fun!

Chase decided to join the Honor Choir at school this year. This video is from his performance on February 26th. It is kind of long but cute. He has a speaking part after the 1st song. The Choir performed with Kinder, 1st and 2nd grades.

This is pretty funny! Chase found this song "Crazy Frog" on uTube and decided to put on a "show" a few weeks ago - very cute! (The first few seconds are kind of dark - but I figured it out and turned the light on .)

Chase and his classmates had fun during their morning Valentines party February 13th. They were treated with donuts, cupcakes, muffins, fruit, juice and chocolate milk. His Valentine box was made to look like a school locker! It was a hit with his friends!

Chase's Birthday Bowling Party

Chase had his 10th birthday party at Highland Park Lanes in Greeley. All the kids had a blast. I made his cake which looks like a bowling lane! Everyone signed a bowling pin for Chase as a keepsake. What a blast!
